Bertha Hill 

Tower 4

 

 

Tower 4 was constructed out of wood 1934 by CCC crews. This tower had no lightning protection and as a result, one person was killed when lightning struck the tower. All towers since have been oufitted with lightning grounding devices. Tower 4 was torn down in favor of tower 5 in 1958-59.
